Dear reader,

update: WE DID IT!!!

At the moment the campaign is at 106% and two more days to go! The stretch goal is now 110%. If the campaign reaches that number, I’ll increase the number of videos and other content on the disc editions of the book. I’ll also add more people to autograph the your copy of the book with one more producer and one more voice actor, so please keep supporting the campaign!

Thank you for visiting this blog! It took a lot of time and hard work to make all of this happen.
Not just the blog, but also the upcoming first volume of a book series on the history of Disney Television Animation covering the first decade of the division, of which this blog is a side project.

This blog is just the tip of the iceberg and there is a lot more material available for the book. Never before seen character designs, proposed shows (including artwork!), complete show pitches, behind the scenes photographs and so on. That’s why I need your help in making the book not only fun and interesting to read (that’s the part I’m taking care of), but also interesting to look at.

Please join me in this adventure by visiting often and supporting the crowdfunding campaign to license as much images as possible. Ever wanted to know what Double-O Duck would’ve been up to? What Metro Mice was all about? Where TaleSpin found its origins? How some shows drastically changed during the writing of the pilot? What mystery character got cut out of DuckTales? Help me out and I will love to tell you the tales!

Best of luck with the funding, Tim. This project isn’t just exciting, it’s a blessing for those of us who grew up with the Disney Afternoon. Great blog, looking forward to the book. These are tales worth telling.

Thank you, Ted! You have been supportive in many ways. I’m returning to L.A. at the end of May to finish up on a few things. Let’s meet up for dinner.

Hey I just stumbled across this project. I know that it is closed for backers. I am a huge fan of the Disney afternoon. I was wondering if I could still back the project or if I could order the book once it is made

short question because I just found about this project out: Can someone still support the project and get a hardcover edition?
